Aidan Corcoran, Director and CTO
Aidan Corcoran is a founder and director of Acquirer Systems and has over 20 years software development experience in the payments industry. Aidan's expertise spans the complete payment chain and he has worked with companies such as Integral Computers, Allied Irish Bank and Deluxe Data now known as eFunds. His development work has covered POS, PINpad, Acquiring and Issuing host systems. He is a leading industry expert on EMV and participated in the development group for the APACS 30/40 international protocol standard.
Fergal Molloy, General Manager
Fergal is General Manager of Acquirer Systems and has over 18 years experience in the hi-tech industry. He has a degree in electrical engineering from University College Cork and an MBA from the Smurfit Business School, University College Dublin. Fergal worked with Daimler Benz, AMP, Tyco and Parthus Technologies before joining the payments industry with Trintech Technologies. With Trintech, he founded the Unattended Payments business unit and negotiated the successful sale of the business to VeriFone Inc in 2006. At VeriFone, he successfully integrated the product portfolio and drove international unattended sales growth. Fergal joined Acquirer Systems in 2008.
Robin Hilliard, Director and Lead Architect
Robin Hilliard is a founder and director of Acquirer Systems. Robin has an honours engineering degree from the University of Limerick and over 19 years experience in core software development. Robin worked with companies such as Expert Edge, Solas Data and IDOC Europe before founding his own software localization company, Translation Craft in 1995. His company developed a number of tools that gained rapid market recognition and was an industry leader when he successfully sold Translation craft in 2000. Robin then joined forces with Aidan Corcoran to run Acquirer Systems fulltime and is the architect of ASTREX, the flagship product of Acquirer Systems.
